Under general supervision of the Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will perform a variety of duties. This includes:

  • Preparing hot and cold beverages to serve
  • Serving packaged and prepared foods
  • Compiling routine food orders,
  • Receiving and putting away deliveries, cleaning, and sanitation
  • Operation of computerized POS for transactions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve hot coffee and tea beverages
  • Use and operate all appropriate equipment.
  • React politely and quickly to requests, queries, issues, and grievances.
  • Accept cash and credit card transactions correctly, following proper funds practices.
  • Display a deep knowledge of all menu options.
  • Follow all applicable health and safety rules.
  • Supports Starbucks’ culture, values, and goals.
  • Capable of working under duress while maintaining a calm disposition.
  • Keeps the business in good order and predicts the demands of the customers.
  • Clean, organize, and stock supplies and facility.

Organizational Responsibilities

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:

  • Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
  • Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
  • Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect customers and self.
  • Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
  • Complies with established organization and department policies.
  • Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

Education And Experience

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. Previous customer service experience in a food service environment is also preferred, but not required.
