Job Summary

Join our coffee shop with an event space team as a Barista/Cashier, where you’ll be the front-line ambassador of our brand. You’ll greet customers with warmth, take their orders efficiently using our POS system, prepare their beverages with precision and care, and ensure every interaction leaves them smiling. This dual role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be the heartbeat of our coffee shop with event space—managing the customer experience from their first hello to their final sip.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet every customer with genuine warmth and create a welcoming first impression
  • Take customer orders accurately using our POS system, answering questions about our menu and offerings
  • Communicate special requests and dietary restrictions clearly to the beverage station
  • Handle cash and card transactions securely, processing payments accurately
  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and consistency
  • Suggest add-ons and seasonal items to enhance the customer experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming coffee shop with event space environment at all times, with meticulous attention to food safety
  • Assist with food preparation and serving, ensuring every item meets our quality standards
  • Manage multiple orders efficiently during peak hours without compromising quality or service
  • Take ownership of closing procedures, including deep cleaning of equipment, reconciling the register, and restocking for the next day
  • Collaborate with teammates to create a positive, supportive work environment
  • Understand and communicate ingredient information, especially regarding allergens and dietary restrictions

Position Details

Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Saturday-Sunday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Your Shift Commitment:

  • Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled shift start to prepare your station and clock in
  • Stay 30 minutes after your scheduled end time to complete closing procedures (all time is compensated)

Employment Type:

Part-time, flexible scheduling

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems or demonstrated ability to learn technical systems quickly
  • Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to handle cash transactions, make change, and manage money accurately
  • Comfort with basic math for cashiering operations
  • Previous barista or coffee shop experience (preferred but not required)
  • Genuine passion for customer service and creating positive interactions
  • Commitment to food safety and maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Willingness to be a team player and take ownership of your responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Reliability and punctuality—we count on you to show up on time, every shift

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Square POS system (we’ll provide training if you don’t have experience)
  • Retail or food service cashier background
  • Knowledge of specialty coffee and beverage preparation techniques
  • Latte art skills or interest in developing them
  • Bilingual capabilities
