Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position provides legendary customer service to all customers. Creates the Starbucks experience by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products. Responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold coffee/espresso/chocolate based non-alcoholic beverages in a professional manner.
Key Job Funcitons
Prepares coffee with a comprehensive understanding of coffee blends, quality, coffee variety, roast degree and latte art
Recites recipes from memory and flawlessly prepares all beverages
Responsible for welcoming each guest in a upbeat positive and professional manner
Upsells chocolate and pastries in accordance with restaurant standards
Maintains all equipment throughout shift in accordance with established standards
Follows cash handling procedures and cash register policies when settling guest checks
Responsible for stocking retail areas and maintains a clean and safe work environment
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years of high-volume, serving experience. Must successfully complete a minimum training period of 5 to 7 days and pass the certification test with a score of 85% or better.
Qualifications
Must be congenial and have neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene
Must be reliable and conscientious with the ability to work as a team
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff
Must be accurate and detail oriented with the ability to learn quickly
Ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure and/or conflict situations
Work Environment
Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
