Job Summary
As a Hotel Barista, you’ll be the face of the hotel’s café or lounge, crafting exceptional coffee and tea beverages while delivering top-tier guest service. You’ll create memorable moments for guests through your attention to detail, product knowledge, and warm hospitality. This position requires weekend availability and the ability to start as early as 6:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including espresso drinks, teas, and specialty items
- Operate Turbo Chef oven following instruction and safety requirements. Cooking all breakfast sandwiches correctly
- Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers with precision
- Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly conversation to enhance their experience
- Take orders accurately, including customizations and dietary preferences
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, equipment, and seating zones
- Restock supplies like coffee beans, syrups, cups, and pastries
- Upsell and recommend menu items based on guest preferences
- Process payments using the hotel’s POS system
- Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure seamless service across departments
- Comply with health and safety standards and hotel policies
Skills & Qualifications
- Minium 1-year Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing hospitality role
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent; barista training is a plus
