We are seeking an
Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant
Full-time AM position available – early mornings shifts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Greeting guests and explaining any specials or promotions.
- Taking orders for food and drinks from guests and completing and delivering those orders.
- Taking payment from guests.
- Performing side work, including setting up and maintaining station, replenishing condiments, restocking side stands and cleaning. Assisting with bussing and resetting tables, as needed.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Kansas City Food Handler Permit, or be able to obtain one upon hire.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
- Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
- Constantly moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Constantly adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
- Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
- Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Constantly operating machinery and/or power tools (i.e. espresso machines and ovens).
- Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Constantly performing sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Constantly performing light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally performing medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures (i.e. walk-in coolers and freezers).
- Occasionally exposed to noisy environments (i.e. conversations in a crowded lobby).
- Constantly exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.
SCHEDULE
- Regularly works from 5:30AM to approximately 12PM, including weekends and holidays.
- Occasionally may be required to work evenings to meet business needs.
Compensation
- $16.00 per hour base pay plus tips.
- $500 bonus after your first 90 days.
