Pay: $26.00/hour

The Barista will be responsible for creating a great customer service experience, focusing on quality, and taking pride in your work. The Barista will be responsible for learning and staying abreast of new things, especially the latest beverage recipes, and must be comfortable with responsibilities like cash-handling and store safety. The Barista must keep cool and calm in a fast-paced, energetic work environment, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and have excellent communication skills.

Job Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Over 1 year of experience as a Barista
  • Minimum 1 year or more of customer service experience preferred
  • Friendly and enthusiastic
  • Must possess a “people person” attitude
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours or more
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service.
  • Must work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and recipes.
  • Comfortable handling cash and ensuring store safety.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills.

Job Duties

  • *Create luxury quality coffee drinks to order by guests’ preference and make suggestions to enhance offerings.
  • *Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer-first attitude, discovering and responding to customer needs.
  • *Maintain a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed, as well as meet all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • *Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all routines, recipes, and presentation standards.
  • *Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the cafĂ© operating to standard.
  • *Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
  • *Communicate information to the manager so the team can respond as necessary to create a positive environment during every shift.
  • *Communicate with supervisor or client on job or deadline issues.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods.
  • Performs Quality Assurance on own and work of others.
  • Adhere to Williams Lea policies in addition to client site policies.

Working conditions

 

  • Position operates at sites with maximum of 24/7 operations. Individual shift requirements will vary by site.
  • Work is performed in a professional work environment.
  • Professional attire is required.
  • Potential hazards are involved in working with hot beverages, sharp kitchen items, and cleaning supplies.
  • Must be able to work standing up all or most of the time.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
