Barista

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant café bar team at Noor-Sha Café Catering in Richardson. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your role will also involve engaging with customers to provide an exceptional experience while efficiently managing orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and pastry items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Square POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and addressing inquiries about menu items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for sales.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, milk, and other supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance coffee knowledge and barista skills.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Familiarity with Square POS systems is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
