As a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Barista you will be part of the Bambuza Hospitality Group. We are a growing restaurant group with airport locations in Portland, OR (PDX), Seattle, WA (SEA), Orange County, CA (SNA), and now in Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC)! We are devoted to providing our guests with unforgettable food experiences and outstanding service.

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our coffee shop runs smoothly and efficiently. You will have the opportunity to serve travelers and provide outstanding customer service to ensure every coffee lover feels welcome and happy. Your vision and expertise will shape the atmosphere, from helping customers with their order, upselling our bakery items, and crafting innovative drinks. This position will provide you with the opportunity to combine your love for hospitality and customer service, all while building lasting relationships with fellow staff, brand partners, and coffee loving customers. Requirements

Craft a variety of coffee and tea drinks, including espressos, lattes, cappuccinos, and cold brews, following established recipes and standards from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
Greet customers, take orders, answer questions about menu items, and deliver friendly, personalized service to create a positive experience.
Accurately process customer transactions using the cash register, handle cash, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
Keep the caf area clean and organized, including the coffee machine, counters, and seating areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Stay informed about the caf’s menu offerings, including seasonal specials, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
Assist in managing stock levels by reporting low inventory, receiving deliveries, and organizing supplies.
Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during shifts.

Qualifications & Requirements

Properly clean, maintain, and troubleshoot espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment to ensure they function properly.
Prior experience as a Barista or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality beverages.
Obtain food handlers card prior to working

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., coffee bags, equipment).
Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as grinding coffee and frothing milk.
