Description

The Le Meridien Sheraton Charlotte complex hotel is looking for fun, ambitious, customer service-oriented individuals to join our Food and Beverage Team. If you have a passion to serve while having fun, then this is the career for you! Schedule will be 5:30am – 2pm

  • Greet all guests according to StepStone and hotel standards, anticipate and address guests’ needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Handle closing of guest transactions in outlet and room services, close out register, and balance out cash for shift as well as keeping cash funds always secured.
  • Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas.
  • Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
  • Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
  • Check with guests to ensure guest service and food quality are satisfactory and up to StepStone and hotel standards.
  • Notify the manager immediately of any guest complaints.
  • Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.
  • Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to accurately use POS system.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of barista experience is a plus.
  • Must be available to work mornings- shifts begin between 5:30am and 8:00am
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
  • Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Must have excellent mathematical and computer skills.
  • High school education preferred. Relevant training and experience required.
  • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
  • CPR training and first aid training preferred.
  • Additional language ability preferred.
