Barista
UnityPoint Health – Allen
Shift: Full-time; 6 AM – 2:30 PM and rotating weekends

The barista prepares specialty drinks, assists with food preparation, receives orders and payments. They are tasked with providing an unforgettable experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers, while anticipating their needs
- Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and specialty beverages per brand standards
- Maintain coffee knowledge on current offerings and accurately communicate product information to customers. Respond to questions, orders, and concerns, and educate customers on coffee products.
- Prepare and serve food items in line with location standards
- Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing
- Maintain clean and sanitary work area
- Stock beverage coolers, grab and go items, service ware and condiments
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of all Bistro equipment and assist with troubleshooting in event of equipment malfunctions.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitization guidelines for all procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Follow payment policies
- Responsible for opening and closing register operations
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year experience in food service industry or related experience.
- Strong numerical skills and demonstrated accuracy and consistency in cash handling.
- Superb customer relation skills.
- Must speak fluent English.
Preferred:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Knowledge as a Barista or equivalent experience
- ServSafe certification
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
