Job Overview

The Anodyne Coffee Market Education Manager is accountable for and leads the daily engagement and mentorship of all Coffee Leads within Anodyne. This individual serves as the knowledge resource for all Baristas, ensuring that coffee education, brewing standards, and quality are consistently upheld. The role

requires ongoing skill development and a commitment to sharing current industry knowledge and

company standards. In addition to internal team development, the Market Education Manager supports

the training and education of Anodyne wholesale customers, ensuring they receive a consistent and

high-quality experience aligned with the FairWave standard. The ideal candidate will proactively

identify opportunities for growth at the café and market level and collaborate closely with other

leaders to elevate both the guest and team member

experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the mentorship and train all new employees in the Coffee Lead program. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs to Milwaukee wholesale customers, focusing on coffee preparation, brewing techniques, product knowledge and customer experience.
  • Maintain high standards of coffee quality, beverage preparation, and presentation across all locations, by conducting regular quality audits and providing coaching and training as needed.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to Quarterly Conversations for Coffee Leads
  • Create SOP’s to ensure consistency and quality across the Market.
  • Support Seasonal drink program, which requires: Costing, developing recipes, coordinating the seasonal drink panel and presentations, sourcing ingredients for cafes, and collaborating with Marketing.
  • Responsible for hosting the scheduled training and providing superior Team Member elevation through
  • the refinement of their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Accountable for communication through other Market communication platforms used for engaging

with Team Members and responding to Team Member inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Proactively identify operational challenges, customer concerns, and performance issues within

your district, and implement solutions to address them in a timely and effective manner.

  • Create and implement training programs to onboard new team members and continuously

develop

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple coffee shops within your district, ensuring smooth

operations, efficient workflows, and compliance with company policies and standards.

  •  Perform regular quality control checks at each Market Café to identify areas of

opportunity.

  • Execute Wholesale education with new and existing Wholesale customers.
  • Travels to wholesale partner locations to deliver on-site training utilizing customer purchased

equipment in addition to holding training sessions on-site at Anodyne.

  • Ability to “dial in” equipment as part of wholesale customer on-boarding.
  • Assists wholesale customers with creative drink concepts, pricing suggestions, and branding

ideas.

 

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.

• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.

• 3s year of customer service experience required.

• 3 years of barista training experience – strong barista, customer service, and teaching

skills.

• Prior café or coffee shop experience required.

• Coffee education is required.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and meet business demands, including weekends,

holidays, and special events.
