JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Performs food/beverage service tasks under general supervision in a food service area; washes and cleans assigned utensils, area and equipment; receives, stores and disburses foodstuffs and supplies. Performs duties appropriately for the age population served, as defined in the department’s scope of service.

Performance Standards:
- Creates warm and inviting atmosphere by welcoming customers into coffee shop, responding to customer needs, and thanking customers for their patronage.
- Provides high-quality beverages and food items consistently, according to established standards.
- Interacts with customers to determine preferences and utilizes product knowledge to fulfill customers’ desires.
- Looks for, and originates, opportunities to create enthusiasm and satisfaction in customers; helps create and maintain branding of BRG coffee shops.
- Maintains working area according to established infection control/safety/customer service policies.
Performance Standards:
- Maintains a safe, sanitary and orderly work area at all times.
- Sets up and operates dish machine to clean dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, and other utensils; inspects cleaned items to ensure proper sanitation and quality before utilizing for customers.
- Utilizes equipment appropriately and safely.
- Observes sanitation procedures before handling utensils or food items.
- Retrieves, collects and transports a variety of food service supplies and equipment as directed.
- Collects, sorts and disposes of trash, cans, bottles and similar debris and transports to disposal area as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
Previous food service experience preferred.
Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Hipaa Requirements:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position.
Safety Requirements:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: incident reporting, handling wastes, sharps and linens, PPE, exposure control plans, hand washing, environmental rounds to ensure safety, and clinical alarms for all age groups.
