As the Lead Barista at Kettle, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the daily experience of our guests by delivering exceptional coffee and customer service with style. You will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of baristas, creating a fun, fast-paced environment, and upholding our high standards of quality and service. You’ll serve up espresso drinks, fresh pastries, and sandwiches, all while maintaining Kettle’s signature vibe of creativity and energy. Responsibilities

 

  • Ability to prepare and execute all food and beverage orders, working collaboratively with baristas to ensure efficient service
  • Oversees and leads Kettle team hourly schedules according to labor hours budgeted. Emails weekly employee schedule each week according to deadline.
  • Onboards new employees, meeting the new employees on day one, providing training plans, and administers uniforms and schedule.
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Auberge Resorts.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep the Kettle operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Anticipates customer and Kettle needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for nonverbal cues.
  • Communicates information to Kettle Manager so that the team can respond as necessary to ensure customer and employee satisfaction.
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving
  • respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to Kettle Manager on partner performance during shift.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment by recognizing challenges or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the Kettle manager.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve partners performance.
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned. Follows Kettle operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by the shift team.
  • Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products..
  • Utilizes operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift. Maintains regular and punctual attendance

The targeted compensation rate for this full time year round, non-exempt position is $18/hr. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Resorts Collection.

Qualifications

 

  • Six (6) months of experience in a position that required constant interacting with and fulfilling the requests of customers.
  • Meet Kettle operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food
  • products, cash handling and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Strong multi tasking and organization skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft and Google software.
  • Ability to speak in English and Spanish, preferred but not required.
  • Micros experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.
