Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including seasonal specials, to effectively assist customers with their selections.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Utilize the Square POS system for processing orders efficiently and managing customer payments.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the preparation area.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and ingredients, reporting shortages as needed.
- Provide friendly and attentive service to all customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as in Barista is required.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Square POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to handle cash register operations efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
- Willingness to help team members and contribute positively to the overall customer experience.
