Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Billerica, MA, for an Assistant General Manager at COMMUNE. The Assistant General Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain high culinary and service standards. Responsibilities include managing and supporting staff, ensuring smooth workflow of kitchen and front-of-house operations, inventory and supply management, and implementing policies that foster a positive work environment. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with senior management to promote the café as a top-tier dining destination.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of prior experience in fast casual hospitality concept serving healthy food and beverages
  • Team leadership and staff management, including training, scheduling, and conflict resolution
  • Strong organizational and operational management skills for inventory, supply chain, and workflow management
  • Exceptional customer service experience and the ability to maintain high service standards
  • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, with an emphasis on quality ingredients and health-conscious dining
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a positive team culture and enhance customer experience
  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager or similar role in the hospitality or food service industry is highly preferred
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as per the café’s needs
  • A passion for the food and beverage industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience
