Barista

Cahoots Cafe is looking for a Barista to join our team! We are a coworking space, event venue, health club, and coffee shop located in downtown Ann Arbor.

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, positive, and genuinely enjoys taking care of people. This is a part-time role on our small cafe team, with a mix of weekday morning and afternoon shifts.

Purpose: Provide great coffee and great hospitality while helping keep the Cahoots Cafe welcoming, clean, and running smoothly.

Tasks

• Welcome customers and provide excellent customer service
• Make and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee and espresso drinks
• Keep the cafe organized and clean
• Anticipate the needs of guests and the cafe
• Help with inventory, merchandising, and stocking as needed
• Open and close the cafe, including 7am opening and 3:30pm closing shifts
• Communicate clearly and consistently with the Cahoots team
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Occasionally support events or conference room rentals with coffee service
• Support the coworking space with dishwashing and laundry
• Support the coworking space with checking in guests, as needed

Compensation & Benefits

• Employment Type: Part-time, hourly/non-exempt
• 10–15 hours/week
• $14.50/hour
• Weekday morning and afternoon shifts
