Reports to: Restaurant General Manager

The Barista creates memorable guest experiences by preparing high-quality specialty coffee beverages, serving food items, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café menu items.
  • Prepare, package, and serve food orders according to food safety and quality standards.
  • Greet guests with a friendly, welcoming attitude and provide personalized service.
  • Educate guests about beverage offerings and recommend products based on their preferences.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout each shift.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay knowledgeable about seasonal beverages, promotions, and café offerings.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Follow all Camelback Resort safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of guests and fellow team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be available for early morning shifts starting at 6:00 AM.
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Strong listening, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must be able to speak and read English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude and strong guest service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to hot beverages, steam, cold storage areas, and busy or noisy work environments.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our guests.
  • Ability to work in a fun, fast-paced environment.
