Barista

Casa Libre is looking for experienced, passionate Baristas to join our team at an exciting new café inside Northgate Mercado in Costa Mesa.

We’re seeking hospitality-minded coffee professionals who have a strong understanding of specialty coffee and take pride in creating thoughtful drinks and memorable guest experiences.

• Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages
• Dial in espresso throughout the day and make adjustments to ensure consistency
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of specialty coffee, extraction, and flavor profiles
• Create beautiful, consistent latte art
• Prepare house-made syrups, sauces, and other beverage ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper sanitation behind the bar
• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service
• Take orders accurately and efficiently while creating a welcoming environment
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, POS systems, and other café equipment
• Follow recipes, quality standards, and café procedures
• Assist with opening and closing duties, stocking, prep, and inventory
• Work collaboratively with the team during busy service periods
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and energetic café culture

• Previous barista experience, preferably in a specialty coffee environment
• Strong espresso preparation and milk-steaming skills
• Comfortable dialing in coffee and troubleshooting extraction
• Knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and café operations
• Confident with latte art and beverage presentation
• Passionate about hospitality and creating genuine guest connections
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
• Calm, focused, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Highly attentive to detail and committed to consistency
• A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Willing to learn, grow, and contribute creatively to Casa Libre

Previous experience with house-made beverages, recipe development, or café prep is a plus.
