Role Description The Barista role is a full-time, on-site position based at Crepeccino Café & Crêperie in Houston, TX. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and other specialty beverages, as well as assisting with crêpe and light food preparation. Day-to-day tasks include taking and processing orders, operating coffee and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are followed. The Barista also greets guests, answers questions about the menu, manages transactions at the register, and supports the team during peak hours. This role involves working closely with other café staff to deliver consistent, high-quality service and a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage guests, handle requests, and support a welcoming café environment.
• Barista experience and Food Preparation skills, including familiarity with espresso equipment, drink recipes, and basic kitchen practices.
• Clear Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members, taking accurate orders, and coordinating during busy periods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math and point-of-sale (POS) skills to process payments, handle cash, and manage receipts accurately.
• Attention to detail and reliability in following recipes, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to food safety and health regulations.
• Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
