Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Front of House Team Member / Barista located in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for creating a warm and inviting guest experience while supporting daily front-of-house operations in a fast-paced café environment.

Responsibilities include taking customer orders, preparing coffee and espresso drinks, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area, delivering food to guests, and supporting the team during busy service periods. The ideal candidate is energetic, personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a hospitality-driven environment.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive customer service

- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system

- Prepare coffee, espresso, and specialty beverage orders consistently and efficiently

- Deliver food to tables and assist guests throughout their visit

- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the lobby, dining room, beverage station, and restrooms

- Assist with opening and closing front-of-house duties

- Restock cups, lids, condiments, beverage items, and front-of-house supplies

- Support the kitchen during peak periods by assisting with fryer drops or light food running as needed

- Maintain cleanliness standards throughout the shift

- Communicate effectively with both front and back-of-house team members

- Help create a positive, welcoming atmosphere for guests and coworkers alike

Qualifications

- Previous barista, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred

- Experience preparing espresso-based beverages preferred

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds

- Weekend availability preferred

- Strong hospitality and guest interaction skills

- Ability to accurately take orders and handle customer transactions efficiently

- Ability to prepare espresso drinks and work efficiently during rush periods

- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the front-of-house area

- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills

- Experience operating commercial espresso equipment

- Experience in fast-casual, brunch, or high-volume café environments

- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling

- Ability to identify guest needs and provide proactive hospitality

- Ability to remain calm, professional, and detail-oriented during busy service periods
