Papaya Farm is a family-run fresh farm market in Hackensack, NJ, expanding into a new coffee shop experience. We serve freshly brewed coffee, juices, and smoothies made with real fruits and vegetables — all at competitive prices. We're building a warm, community-focused team that shares our love for quality and authenticity.

Role Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our growing team. You'll be the face of our coffee shop, crafting exceptional drinks and creating a welcoming environment for every customer.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages using our La Marzocco or other Espresso machine
• Craft fresh juices and smoothies using seasonal fruits and vegetables
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and prep areas
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service
• Handle cash, card, and Zelle transactions accurately via our POS system
• Assist with restocking and inventory of coffee and beverage supplies
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times

Requirements

• Prior barista or café experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
• Passion for coffee, fresh food, and customer service
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Availability including weekends and early mornings (from 8am)
• Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain)
