As a barista at Fresh Monkee Sarasota- Fruitville Rd, your primary responsibility is to handcraft and serve truly healthy

shakes for customers. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and

ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for every guest. Your skills in preparing high-quality

shakes, as well as your friendly and engaging personality, will contribute to the overall success of

the business.

Job Type: Part-time / full-time based on availability, location hours and shop needs.

Pay: $15/hour +credit card & cash tips.

Summary of responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the

following:

Preparation

● Memorize and prepare 30+ recipes according to standing recipes and customer

preferences.

● Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly portioned and blended to perfection.

● Offer creative and appealing suggestions for customization based on customer taste and

dietary preferences.

Customer Service

● Welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude. Welcome first-time customers

with an introduction about our business and provide assistance with any menu

questions.

● Engage with customers in a polite and knowledgeable manner, answering inquiries

about the menu and ingredients.

Cleanliness & Sanitation

● Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring that all equipment, blender

canisters and utensils are properly washed and sanitized for regular use.

● Adhere to health and safety regulations and food handling procedures to ensure a safe

and hygienic environment.

Upselling and Promotions

● Recommend additional add-ons to enhance the customers’ experience and increase

ticket sales.

● Promote our loyalty program by prompting customers to sign up at check out to

encourage customer retention.

● Stay informed about shake ingredients, nutritional information, and menu offerings to

provide accurate information to customers.

● Continuously update knowledge about new shake trends and popular ingredients.

Cash Handling and POS Operations

● Process customer payments, handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale

(POS) system.

● Accurately count and record sales and revenue deposits.

Teamwork and Collaboration

● Work diligently with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely

service.

● Assist in maintaining inventory levels by notifying management of stock shortages or

popular items.

● Be a team player to help cover last minute shift shortages if you can!

Qualifications & Skills

● Previous barista experience in a beverage setting preferred.

● Excellent customer service skills

● Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and

quality.

● Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.

● Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and cleanliness.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers

and team members.

● Flexible availability, weekends a must!

• Food handler certification and barista experience a plus!
