Company Description Lucky’s Coffee and Donuts is a locally owned small business coffee shop known for freshly brewed coffee and handcrafted donuts that is located in Lynnhaven Mall. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role located in Virginia Beach, VA. The Barista prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages, as well as donuts and light food items, following established recipes and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized service area and seating space. The Barista restocks supplies, operates and cleans equipment, takes orders, prep pastries, and follows food safety and hygiene procedures. The role also involves collaborating with teammates to ensure efficient service during busy periods and delivering a welcoming, consistent guest experience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a friendly, inclusive environment and build positive guest interactions.
• Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to interact with guests, coordinate with team members, and follow directions and procedures.
• Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills, with attention to food safety, portioning, and presentation of donuts and other menu items.
• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or retail environment is beneficial but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Salary

• Pay is hourly and tips combined
• Starting pay is $12 an hour plus tips. Pay usually equals between $18-25 an hour but depends on weekdays, weekends and busier seasons which can increase pay to over $25 an hour.
