Role Description: The Barista at Savour Bakery is a part-time, on-site role based in Mission Viejo, CA. This role is responsible for preparing espresso-based drinks and other coffee beverages, handling food preparation for bakery items and café offerings, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the espresso machine and other café equipment, handling payments, and ensuring products meet quality and presentation standards. The Barista will also restock supplies, follow health and safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a friendly and welcoming guest experience.
• Candidates should possess Barista skills, including coffee and espresso preparation and familiarity with café equipment.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to interact with guests and collaborate with team members.
• Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills and an understanding of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Previous experience in a café, bakery, or food service environment is beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Food Handler's Certification is required but can be acquired after hiring.
