We are pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Barista Supervisor at our Starbucks in Downtown Spartanburg.
The Barista Supervisor will contribute to Starbucks’ success by assisting the General Manager in the execution of store operations, helping to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers.
What will you be doing most days?
This can be a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirements
This position will require little to no travel outside the property and surrounding areas.

The Barista Supervisor will contribute to Starbucks’ success by assisting the General Manager in the execution of store operations, helping to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers.
What will you be doing most days?
- Acts with integrity, honesty and competence—promoting the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.
- Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to coworkers, ensuring operational excellence and improving their performance.
- Contributes to a positive environment by recognizing changes in coworkers’ morale and performance and communicating those changes to the manager.
- Assists with the training of new team members.
- Helps conduct inventory and execute promotions.
- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or during unusual events to continue operational standards and to set a positive example for the store’s team.
- Follows all cash management policies, and ensures all members are engaging in proper cash management practices.
- Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products, and ensures coworkers are doing such.
- Delivers legendary customer service by having a customer-comes-first attitude—connecting with the customer, discovering the customer’s needs, and responding to those needs.
- Reviews continually the store’s environment to identify problems, concerns and opportunities.
- Oversees opening and closing duties.
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Barista experience
- You have strong customer service in retail and/or hospitality knowledge
- You have strong problem solving and organizational skills
- You learn quickly, build relationships, and communicate effectively
