Role Description The Barista is a full-time, on-site role based at our Phoenix, AZ location. This role is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include greeting guests, taking orders, handling payments, coordinating with the bakery team on food orders, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation and guest area. The Barista supports basic food preparation tasks, such as plating pastries and preparing simple food items, while following food safety and hygiene guidelines. This role also involves restocking supplies, monitoring inventory levels at the bar, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
  • Coffee and beverage expertise: Barista skills, including brewing methods, espresso extraction, milk steaming, and drink customization.
  • Guest-facing capabilities: Strong Customer Service, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Food handling: Basic Food Preparation skills and familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
  • Additional preferred qualifications: Prior experience in a café, bakery, or restaurant setting; ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs; reliable, punctual, and able to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • General requirements: Commitment to inclusivity and respectful interactions with guests and colleagues; eligibility to work in the United States; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
