Barista

Role Description Join our small team as a part-time (up to 28 hours/week) Barista at our coffee walk-up window located in Beaverton, OR!

Job duties include preparing and serving espresso drinks, drip coffee, and other beverages while providing excellent customer service. We do not have a kitchen, which enables us to focus mainly on coffee education, customer service, and drink preparation - a perfect role for a coffee enthusiast that prefers to work with a small team and take ownership of their station.

Daily responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, operating the POS system, processing payments, and maintaining a clean, organized service area. The role involves sharing product knowledge, answering questions about coffee varieties and brew methods, and supporting a welcoming and fun environment for all customers. This position is for a closing shift, and will include duties like cleaning, restocking supplies, rotating inventory, closing the shop, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications

• Availability must be at least two days per week, M/Tu/Thur/Fri, 9am - 4:30pm.
• Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to create a positive experience for guests.
• Clear Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and management.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment that is not fully temperature controlled (expect the same conditions as being outdoors)
• Prior café, coffee, or hospitality experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Basic math and POS skills for handling cash, card transactions, and order accuracy.
• Commitment to punctuality, reliability, and teamwork.
