Position Overview

As a Business Development Manager II for the Coffee Service Division, you'll be responsible for driving growth by retaining and expanding relationships with key customers while actively developing new business opportunities. This role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented sales professional who thrives on building strong customer partnerships and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across assigned accounts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to demonstrate value, reinforce partnerships, and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed territory revenue targets.
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business with coffee service customers through cold calling, networking, and formal presentations.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle—from prospecting through negotiation to onboarding and account activation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience from set-up to ongoing support.
  • Monitor industry trends and customer data to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Support promotional planning with internal teams, including new product introductions and targeted marketing initiatives.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Sales Execution teams to ensure product availability and operational alignment for all customers’ needs.
  • Prepare and analyze customer financial models and profitability projections.
  • Ensure account growth aligns with organizational profitability standards and pricing strategies.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics including sales pipeline, account health, and territory performance.
  • Provide regular updates to sales leadership on wins, challenges, and competitive trends.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Community Coffee’s products and services with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or foodservice.
  • Proven track record in managing high-value accounts and securing new business.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems; SAP S/4 HANA experience a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Internal Only: Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources
