The Position: The Café Associate I works alongside King Arthur’s café team to deliver exceptional service to our customers in support of the King Arthur Baking brand and mission. The individual in this role works under direct supervision in a fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about delivering our customers exceptional experience.

The Location: Norwich, VT; onsite daily

The Pay: $17.69 to $18.56 per hour worked; commensurate with experience.

The Schedule: 32 hours per week with weekend availability required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Greets and acknowledges customers when they approach the café
  • Provides a positive experience for each customer specific to their needs
  • Assists customers in their selections, and maintains through knowledge of all menu items
  • Operates point of sales system
  • Maintains the cafe’s appearance by straightening, cleaning, and replenishing
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn barista machine and coffee menu
  • Receives and restocks deliveries using proper inventory rotation
  • Rotates through all areas in the café
  • Communicates clearly with your team
  • Moves with purpose and efficiency in the space
  • Adheres to all food safe and workplace regulations and procedures
  • Reports to work on time or notify the lead in charge by phone and email in advance if absent or late
  • Maintains working understanding of how to utilize KAB resources

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Experience in a retail/food service related field a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced, high volume environment
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
