Cafe Barista

The Barista will prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and pre-packaged food/pastries while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and contributes to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Employees in this position will be paid a base hourly wage of $18.00/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Beverage Preparation

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders, and other café equipment.
• Ensure consistency in drink quality and presentation.
  
  
  

Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously.
• Move throughout the cafe and dealership to take orders, prepare drinks, deliver food and beverages, and assist customers.
  
  
  

Cash Handling

• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
• Balance cash drawers and maintain transaction records.
  
  
  

Food Preparation

• Serve light food items such as prepackaged pastries, sandwiches, and snacks as required.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory appropriately.
  
  
  

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and café tools.
• Perform opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties.
• Report equipment issues to management.
  
  
  

Inventory Support

• Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and supplies.
• Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
• Inform supervisors when inventory needs replenishment.
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a food handlers license.
• Have a valid CA Driver's License with a good driving record.
