Role Description The Cafe Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Brew Haha in Wilmington, DE. This role oversees daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, managing staff schedules, supervising baristas and food service team members, and ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety. The Cafe Manager monitors inventory levels, coordinates ordering of coffee, food, and supplies, and helps manage cost controls. They support customer service on the floor, resolve guest concerns, and ensure a consistently positive experience. The role also includes training and coaching team members, tracking sales performance, implementing promotional activities, and collaborating with leadership on operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests and support a positive team environment.
- Knowledge of food & beverage and food service operations, including safe handling practices and quality standards.
- Experience with sales and basic point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and daily reconciliation.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a cafe, restaurant, or retail environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Wilmington, DE, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in scheduling, inventory, and store presentation.
- Understanding of basic health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food service establishments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management training is a plus.
