Company Description The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar is a specialty coffee and espresso destination located in Downingtown, PA, featuring handcrafted beverages and an in-house bakery with fresh, classic, and creative treats each day. The cafe serves as a welcoming community hub, offering a cozy atmosphere where friends, families, and neighbors can gather and connect over coffee. In 2027, The Farmhouse will open a second location in Caln Township, aiming to become a premier specialty coffee house and bakery for Chester County. Team members can be part of a growing brand focused on exceptional hospitality and community engagement.

Role Description The Cafe Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Philadelphia area, overseeing daily operations at The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the cafe Barista team, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a warm, welcoming environment. Key tasks include supervising staff schedules, training team members, managing inventory and ordering, and upholding food and beverage quality standards. The Cafe Manager will monitor sales performance, implement initiatives to increase revenue, and ensure the cafe meets cleanliness, safety, and compliance standards. This person will also collaborate with leadership on daily operations, marketing efforts, and preparation for future growth and new locations.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and building regular clientele
• Effective Communication abilities for leading teams, providing feedback, and interacting with guests and vendors
• Hands-on Food & Beverage and Food Service experience, preferably in a cafe, coffee shop, or bakery environment
• Sales skills, including basic understanding of retail metrics and the ability to promote menu items and specials
• Prior experience in supervisory or management roles in hospitality or retail
• Ability to work on-site with flexible hours, including mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail in operations and presentation
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash handling; familiarity with inventory management is a plus
• Passion for specialty coffee, baked goods, and community-focused hospitality
