Position Summary:
The Cafe Manager serves as a key operational partner, working closely with the General Manager to
support the successful launch, stabilization, and ongoing operation of the member cafe. This role
combines hospitality, relationship management, and operational coordination to deliver an exceptional
experience.
The Cafe Manager is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations, maintaining elevated service
standards, and ensuring operational excellence. This individual will serve as an ambassador of the
brand, helping cultivate a culture of hospitality, community, and continuous improvement. This role is
ideal for a hospitality professional with extensive coffee experience, a passion for developing food &
beverage concepts, and a commitment to delivering an elevated guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture:
- Support the General Manager in fostering a culture of excellence, professionalism, and
accountability.
- Promote a positive and collaborative work environment that reflects the company's values and
service philosophy.
- Serve as a visible leader on the floor, setting the standard for hospitality and guest engagement.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and retention initiatives.
- Build relationships with members; act as a connector and ambassador for the brand.
Financial & Business Management:
- Partner with the General Manager to achieve financial goals through effective labor
management, cost controls, and revenue optimization.
- Assist in monitoring labor, food, and beverage costs while identifying opportunities to improve
operational efficiency.
- Support inventory controls, purchasing procedures, and financial reporting.
- Help execute initiatives that improve profitability while maintaining exceptional guest
experiences.
Space:
- Maintain a tidy and orderly environment aligned with brand guidelines and space expectations.
- Assist with all aspects of the cafe opening, including hiring, onboarding, training, systems
implementation, and opening preparations.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with the member experience team, vendors, and
corporate partners to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements:

enable the individual to effectively manage cafe operations, drive sales, cultivate a luxury hospitality
experience, communicate effectively, and embody the leadership qualities necessary to build a thriving community within the workspace.
Skills:
- Coffee & Food Safety Training: Technical ability to operate espresso machines and knowledge
of coffee beverage preparation; familiarity with California’s state food safety standards required;
completion of Food Handler’s Card training preferred.
- Operational Excellence: Ability to ensure seamless operations and uphold brand standards.
- F&B Understanding: Comfort overseeing food & beverage operations and/or service
environments, with a strong understanding of customer experience and operational standards.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute growth strategies and initiatives.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
