Café Team Member – Glaze Donuts

Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour, based on experience

Glaze Donuts is looking for dependable, friendly, and experienced people to join our café teams in New Milford, West Caldwell, and Nutley.

We are looking for candidates who want a stable, long-term position and can maintain consistent availability throughout the year.

Most of our current openings are part-time. A limited full-time opportunity may be available for a candidate with strong experience and open availability.

We are especially interested in candidates with previous experience in coffee shops, cafés, restaurants, quick-service restaurants, bakeries, or other customer-facing food-service environments.

Prior barista and espresso experience is strongly preferred, but we are also open to experienced food-service candidates who are comfortable learning our beverage program.

Glaze provides training on our specific recipes, products, equipment, service standards, and store procedures.

Schedule

• Weekly hours vary depending on location, availability, and business needs
• Occasional holiday availability may be required

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Take orders and process transactions using TOAST POS
• Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, lattes, cappuccinos, refreshers, and other beverages
• Steam and texture milk properly
• Follow Glaze recipes and beverage standards
• Serve donuts, pastries, breakfast items, and other menu products
• Answer customer questions and make menu recommendations
• Keep the café, beverage station, equipment, and displays clean and organized
• Restock products and supplies
• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Complete opening, closing, and daily responsibilities
• Stay productive during both busy and slower periods
• Assist with inventory and general store organization
• Work well independently and as part of a team

What We're Looking For

• Previous barista, café, restaurant, quick-service, or customer-facing food-service experience preferred
• Prior espresso/barista experience strongly preferred
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Consistent availability
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently when needed
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow recipes and procedures
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Open to coaching and feedback
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Authorized to work in the United States

Candidates who are occasionally able to assist at another Glaze location are a plus, but this is not required.
