Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Cashier/Barista located in Elk Grove Village, IL. The responsibilities include engaging with customers to take orders, handling transactions, and providing excellent customer service. Additional tasks include preparing coffee and other beverages to order, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the service area, restocking products as needed, and assisting with opening and closing duties. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential to ensure a smooth operational flow.

Qualifications

• Must hold or willing to obtain an ANSI-accredited Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of hire
• Proficiency in cash handling and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Experience in preparing coffee and specialty beverages
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends
• Previous food service or retail experience is a bonus
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
