Brief Description

Job Title: Concession Attendant (Part-Time)

Shift: Day/Swing

Location: Salt River Cafe at Casino Arizona

Department: Food & Beverage

Reports To: Dining Shift Supervisor (TSR) or Sous Chef (CAZ)

Summary

Takes food and beverage orders, takes payment for the order, provides correct change and delivers the order to the patron. Assists in the daily production of foods related to the respective food outlet. Crafts espresso and blended beverages. Brews hot and cold coffee. Stocks and maintains inventory of products. Maintains a clean environment in workstation and seating area.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides guests with courteous, friendly and efficient service.
  • Takes food and beverage orders, rings up on cash register and provides correct change.
  • Follows safe food handling procedures at all times.
  • Retrieves food and/or supplies from the kitchen or storage when necessary.
  • Sets and re-stocks mis en place on the station; stores, labels, dates and rotates all foods.
  • Cleans and prepares all fruits, vegetables, meats and fishes.
  • Assists in the coordinating of daily specials with the supervisor.
  • Uses equipment as instructed to ensure safety and proper care of equipment.
  • Brews coffee and makes espresso and blended beverage according to recipes.
  • Communicates to kitchen staff when necessary.
  • Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; previous kitchen or food outlet experience required; related experience in a medium to high volume restaurant strongly preferred. Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages. Knowledge of Arizona State Liquor Laws - Title 4 required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must possess a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card. Arizona Alcohol Awareness certification a plus.

Other Qualifications

  • Must possess basic knife skills and be able to operate basic kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to operate a cash register and process transactions accurately.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to follow both verbal and written instruction.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be a team player, have a positive attitude and present a well-groomed appearance.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for prolonged periods of time; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; secondary smoke; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
