Conveniently located inside the Mountain Grand Lodge, Das Café is Boyne Mountain's one-stop shop for delicious pick-me-ups and tasty treats, proudly serving Starbucks coffees, espressos, and Frappuccinos alongside fresh pastries, parfaits, as well as grab-and-go sandwiches and salads. For guests heading to the slopes, the spa, or the waterpark, Das Café is often the first stop of the day: and the energy and experience you bring as Manager sets the tone for everything that follows.

We're looking for a warm, organized, and motivated leader who can run a tight operation, develop a great team, and make every guest feel genuinely welcome from the moment they walk through the door. Responsibilities

• Long-Term Thinking - Complete and report monthly food and beverage inventories, review monthly financial reports with the Quick Service Manager and VP of Food and Beverage, and make smart, forward-looking purchasing decisions that keep Das Café running efficiently each season.
• Excellence in Execution - Oversee all daily café operations, ensure food and beverage quality is consistent, and monitor budgets and financial transactions to keep expenditures within limits. Properly open and close the café each day according to Standard Operating Procedures and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the outlet and all equipment.
• Attitude is Everything - Das Café is often a guest's first interaction of the day at Boyne Mountain. The energy you and your team bring behind the counter sets the tone for their entire experience, and you take that responsibility seriously.
• Develop Great People - Supervise, schedule, and develop a team of 8 to 10 café team members: interviewing and hiring, conducting performance evaluations, motivating staff, and coaching team members when needed to help everyone perform at their best.
• Serve First - Greet and acknowledge every guest who enters and leaves the café. Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages: drip coffee, espresso drinks, Frappuccinos, and teas, and actively promote the café's offerings, programs, and promotions with genuine enthusiasm.
• Promote the Das Café brand standards consistently and order, receive, and stock supplies and retail products to keep the operation running smoothly.
  
  

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• You have an Associate's degree or equivalent, plus six months to one year of related experience — previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• You genuinely enjoy exceeding guest expectations and understand that a great café experience is about far more than a good cup of coffee.
• You're proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and experience with Point of Sale software and food and beverage inventory management is a strong plus.
• You're available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• You believe in maintaining a fun, positive work environment just as much as you believe in running a well-managed operation: because at Boyne Mountain, those two things go hand in hand.
