Role Description Coffee Maker and Deli prep. The Barista is a full-time, on-site position located in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. In this role, the Barista prepares and serves espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and a variety of café beverages according to established recipes and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, handling payments, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting basic food preparation as needed. The Barista ensures a positive guest experience by providing prompt, friendly service and addressing customer questions or concerns. The role may also involve restocking supplies, assisting with opening and closing duties, and working collaboratively with team members to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills.
• Practical Barista experience with coffee and espresso equipment, and basic Food Preparation skills.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to work on-site full time, stand for extended periods, and manage a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
• Prior experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
