We are seeking a Director of Training to build and scale a best-in-class field training function across our growing store footprint. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role responsible for developing training programs that drive speed of service, product quality, consistency, and a high-energy and positive customer experience.


This leader will partner closely with Operations and People teams to ensure every team member, from Baristas to Operations Leadership, is trained, confident, and ready to perform at a high level.


Training Strategy & Program Development

  • Design and execute a company-wide training strategy aligned with rapid growth and new store openings
  • Develop scalable, repeatable training systems that support consistent execution across all locations
  • Partner with Operations leaders to identify performance gaps and deploy targeted training solutions
  • Use data (KPIs, audits, customer feedback) to continuously improve training programs
  • Ensure training drives measurable improvements


Training Content, Systems & Standardization

  • Develop and maintain training materials including playbooks, SOPs, videos, and job aids
  • Standardize training programs while allowing flexibility for regional and store-level needs
  • Evaluate and implement learning tools to improve scalability
  • Ensure training is effective for diverse learning styles and promotes strong knowledge retention


Continuous Improvement

  • Develop scorecards and feedback loops to monitor training effectiveness
  • Identify trends and continuously improve training programs and materials
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, People, and Marketing teams to align on standards and rollouts


Experience

  • 7+ years in Training, Learning & Development, or Operations
  • 3–5+ years leading training in multi-unit retail environments
  • Experience supporting rapid growth and new store openings
  • Deep understanding of store operations and frontline workflows
  • Proven ability to design training that improves speed, consistency, and customer experience
  • Strong hands-on field-based facilitation, coaching, and leadership development skills
  • Experience building and scaling field-based training programs
  • High energy, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills


Bonus Points

  • Experience with drive-thru or beverage-focused brands
  • Background in coffee or hospitality training
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and modern learning tools
