As a director, Sourcing Policy, Governance & Supplier Relationship Management, you will play a critical role in shaping and strengthening our global sourcing function. This leader will establish and evolve sourcing and procurement policies, governance frameworks, and supplier relationship management (SRM) strategies that ensure consistency, compliance, and long-term value creation across a complex global supply base.

As a director, Sourcing Policy, Governance & Supplier Relationship Management, you will…

  • Establish and lead sourcing policies, governance frameworks, and standards to ensure compliance, consistency, and effective risk management across the sourcing function
  • Drive supplier relationship management (SRM) strategy, building executive-level partnerships that deliver innovation, performance, and long-term value
  • Partner cross-functionally to enhance supplier performance management, risk oversight, and continuous improvement across a global supply base

We’d Love To Hear From People With

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing strategy, supplier management, risk, resiliency or supply chain governance within global organizations
  • Deep expertise in sourcing and procurement policy development, governance models, and supplier relationship management (SRM) frameworks
  • Strong experience in supplier performance management, contract governance, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Proven ability to influence at the executive level and drive alignment across complex, cross-functional organizations
  • Experience working across global supply chains with a focus on compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial process controls
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build scalable processes that elevate procurement capabilities

Preferred Experience Includes

  • Experience designing or leading SRM programs within large, matrixed organizations
  • Background in governance, compliance, or risk management within sourcing, procurement or supply chain functions
  • Experience in CPG, retail, food & beverage, or other highly regulated industries

  • If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
