Job Duties And Responsibilities

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
• Serve food items and adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
• Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
• Greet customers and take orders, including offering menu recommendations, promoting menu options, and noting dietary restrictions and customizations.
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
• Make drinks according to company recipes and standards.
• Restock supplies, such as cups, lids, coffee beans, and syrups.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations.
• Work point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and inventory tasks.
• Attend and participate in Bloedorns-sponsored training, when required.
• Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.
  
  

Qualifications

An Espresso Bar Sales Associate must:

• Complete and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screen.
• Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
• Possess interpersonal and customer-relation skills.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Operate a computer, calculator, and cash register.
• Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  
  

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Espresso Bar Sales Associates:

• Work in an indoor setting.
• Occasionally lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk.
• Regularly stand, use hands, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
