Event Barista – Pop-Ups & Catering

$25 per hour | Part-time, event-based

Our mobile events team brings the KASH experience beyond our Berkeley café and into corporate gatherings, campus activations, concerts, celebrations, and community events throughout the Bay Area.

We’re looking for experienced, dependable, and high-energy Event Baristas, known within KASH as Ritual Baristas, who can prepare beautiful drinks, connect genuinely with guests, and bring our signature ritual hospitality into every space we enter. Previous barista, catering, hospitality, or event experience is strongly preferred.

• Prepare and serve KASH beverages according to our recipes and presentation standards
• Create warm, engaging, and memorable guest interactions
• Assist with event-bar setup, styling, service, and breakdown
• Load, unload, and organize ingredients, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a clean and welcoming event space
• Represent the KASH brand professionally at every event
• Follow food-safety, hospitality, and event procedures
• Occasionally pick up supplies from KASH Café and transport them to event venues'
  

• Previous barista, catering, event, or hospitality experience
• A warm, confident, and guest-focused presence
• Reliability and punctuality
• Comfort working in fast-paced and changing event environments
• Strong attention to recipes, details, and presentation
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with transporting event supplies
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including some early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• A valid California Food Handler Card or willingness to obtain one
• Reliable transportation throughout the Bay Area
• Access to a reliable car is strongly preferred for approved event pickups; mileage is reimbursed
  

• Pay: $25 per hour
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible, and event-based; weekly hours are not guaranteed
• Home base: KASH Café, 2482 Bancroft Way, Berkeley
• Event locations: Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, and throughout the Bay Area
• Mileage: Reimbursed for approved work-related driving
