JOB SUMMARY
Millie’s Provisions is seeking a friendly, reliable Barista to join our front-of-house team. This role centers around delivering exceptional coffee and warm service while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced café setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet every guest with warmth and create a welcoming, neighborhood-driven atmosphere
Accurately take orders, answer menu questions, and make thoughtful recommendations
Prepare and serve high-quality espresso beverages, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with consistency and care
Maintain full ownership of the barista station when scheduled, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
Serve pastries and grab-and-go items with attention to presentation
Operate the POS system accurately and handle payments responsibly
Keep counters, beverage stations, and guest areas stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift
Restock retail shelves, pastries, and café items as needed
Communicate clearly with kitchen and team members to keep service running smoothly
Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and maintain proper storage standards
Support teammates during busy periods — whether making drinks, running food, or assisting at the register
Participate in tastings, team meetings, and trainings to stay aligned on seasonal offerings and service standards
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and local health regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1–2 years of hospitality experience
Previous barista training preferred but not required
1+ years of hands-on espresso and coffee service experience preferred
Knowledge of dialing in espresso, milk texturing, and maintaining equipment is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Requires standing and walking for the duration of the shift
Frequent use of hands for drink preparation and service
Involves reaching, bending, and lifting
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40–50 pounds when receiving deliveries

REPORTS TO: General Manager / Ownership
COMPENSATION: $17.00 per hour + tips (commensurate with experience)

GENERAL WORKING HOURS
Proposed Hours of Operation:
Monday–Friday: 7:00am7:00pm
Saturday–Sunday: 8:00am–5:00pm
Schedule TBD.
Must be available for weekends, holidays, and occasional special events as needed.
