Rise & Tone Pilates Studio is looking for an experienced Specialty Barista to join our café team in Englewood, NJ.
Our cafe is an extension of the Rise & Tone experience — warm, elevated, welcoming, and focused on quality. We’ll be serving specialty espresso beverages, ceremonial-grade matcha, lattes, cold foams, and other thoughtfully crafted drinks to our studio community and café guests.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, and specialty drinks
- Prepare ceremonial-grade matcha and matcha lattes with proper technique and consistency
- Steam and texture milk to a high standard
- Create clean, consistent latte art
- Prepare specialty cold foams and seasonal beverages
- Maintain consistency in drink presentation, taste, and quality
- Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable customer service
- Keep the cafe bar clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cafe opening/closing procedures
- Work collaboratively with our studio and cafe team to create a welcoming Rise & Tone experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional barista or specialty café experience strongly preferred
- Strong espresso preparation and milk-steaming skills
- Latte art experience strongly preferred
- Experience preparing ceremonial-grade matcha preferred
- Knowledge of espresso dialing and extraction is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable multitasking while maintaining drink quality
- Warm, personable, and team-oriented
- Passion for coffee, matcha, hospitality, and creating an elevated guest experience
- Morning and weekend availability preferred
Compensation
$18–$22/hour, based on experience and skill level, plus tips.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and is excited to help us build the cafe experience at Rise & Tone from the beginning.
