Summary Of Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Manager, Branded and Retail Operations, the supervisor manages the operations of the Library Cafe [The Bytes & Brew Cafe], including managing the day-to-day operations, customer service, scheduling, and upkeep of the facilities.
- Manages the food and beverage production, making sure all foods and beverages are prepared and served, observing sanitation standards.
- Assists the Manager of retail operations in coordinating all staff workload and is instrumental in the training process for all staff functions, including cashier training and food and beverage operations training.
- Graduation from an accredited institution with an associate’s degree plus one year of experience in a related field or any combination of education and/or experience related to the position classification summary totaling a minimum of three years.
- Requires a food handler's permit within 30 days of hire.
- Knowledge of the management of a food service operation, including cost computations and comparative buying.
- Skills in written and oral communication.
- Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Skills in budget preparation for departmental operations.
- Ability to plan, organize, manage, supervise, and direct the activities of a cafeteria/coffee shop operation.
- Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions.
