Front of house team member

Job Overview

We are looking for warm, friendly folks who care. You will be the face of the Plainfield Bakehouse, so no pressure ;) Two positions will work together in the front of house: Guest Experience Specialist and Retail Prep Assistant. All front of house staff will be trained for both positions to allow for a seamless job flow, and less chances to be bored with your work.

Responsibilities of Guest Experience Specialist:

-Managing the experience of the guests from the time they walk in through our doors until the time they leave.

-Taking orders, solving problems, offering add-on options, making peoples experiences special by giving away freebies when necessary.

-Includes cleaning dining area, bathrooms, windows, counter, behind counter, etc.

-When things are slow, answering the phone and maybe in the future replying to emails.

Responsibilities of Retail Prep Assistant:

-Making sure baked goods and coffee are stocked in the front.

-Fulfilling orders for bagels, retrieving pre-orders for customers who are coming to pick up, pouring coffee and making sure the coffee is fresh.

-Includes cleaning dining area, bathrooms, windows, counter, behind counter, etc.

-Working together with GES to keep the front running smoothly.

Typical shift: 6:45am-1:30pm if our hours are 7-1. Might help with packaging, prep, cleaning if we sell out early. Option to stay later from 2-4 and help with packaging and cleaning if desired.
