Front of House Team Member

Company Description: SVEA Scandinavian Kafé on Wheels is a growing mobile café bringing Scandinavian food, coffee, and hospitality to communities across Central Florida. We serve handcrafted pastries and baked goods, sandwiches, specialty coffee, and iced beverages at local pop-ups, events, and catering engagements.

We are a small, owner-operated business that values warm service, quality, cleanliness, reliability, and attention to detail.

About the Role

SVEA is looking for a warm, energetic, and dependable Front of House Team Member to help create a welcoming café experience from our food truck.

Responsibilities may include:

• Taking orders and processing payments

• Packaging pastries, sandwiches, and other menu items

• Handing out orders and answering customer questions

• Assisting with setup, breakdown, and closing procedures

• Keeping the truck clean, stocked, and organized

• Helping with dishes, restocking, and light food preparation

• Learning to prepare coffee and other beverages over time

What We Are Looking For

• At least 18 years old

• Friendly, positive, and comfortable interacting with customers

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Willing to help with cleaning, setup, breakdown, and restocking

• Available to work primarily on weekends

Previous café, restaurant, food truck, barista, retail, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required. A great attitude, strong communication skills, and dependability matter most.

Food handler training is required, but we can help the right candidate complete it.

Pay and Schedule

This is an hourly, part-time position paying $16 per hour plus pooled tips, with opportunities for raises and additional responsibilities as SVEA grows.

Most shifts will take place on weekends, with very limited weekday hours depending on our schedule. Available hours may change from week to week based on pop-ups, catering engagements, and events. We can work with team members’ schedules as needed, provided availability is communicated in advance.

Location

Team members report to wherever the SVEA truck is operating that day, typically throughout Greater Orlando and Central Florida. Reliable transportation is required. This role does not involve driving the food truck.
