Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the primary responsibility of a Coffee Green Tank Loader is the safe and accurate loading of green coffee into holding tanks for roasting. Tank loaders are responsible for identifying correct green coffee, moving it to the loading area, dispensing it into the correct tank and recording material usage for the roaster operator. Safe operation of forklifts and proper lifting and dragging is imperative for this role.

Position Responsibilities
- Take instructions from Roaster Operator to gather green coffee and load into the assigned tank in proper rotation.
- Operate forklift and other equipment to move materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Check coffee for foreign material and confirm green coffee is ready to roast.
- Ensure proper lifting and/or dragging techniques are used.
- Record load specifications, quantities, storage tank data and report to Roaster Operator.
- Maintain an environment that is safe and healthy, and report unsafe situations or conditions immediately.
- Keep work area, including immediate tank area (loading platform, scales, magnets, walls, etc.), and storage warehouse clean and orderly. Ensure open sacks and containers are properly labeled and contained.
- Pull product samples as required.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance is adhered to as outlined in Food Safety Plan and other quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ability and willingness to support Company food safety culture and core values.
- Inspect equipment and materials to ensure good condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Understand written or verbal instructions or job duties, follow instructions thoroughly, ask questions if necessary, be engaged in the work, and be a partner in producing the finest ofi products.
- Follow established programs, policies, and practices, and work safely to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Ability to pick-up and carry products up to 50 pounds unassisted is required.
- Ability to use full range of motion to bend, stretch, kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladder and work standing up for much of the entire shift is required.
- Work in a light industrial and somewhat warm environment (during summer) or cool areas (during the winter).
- Have ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and requirements.
