Host Cashier – Carnegies Cafe at Tropicana Laughlin

As a Host Cashier, you’re the first friendly face our guests meet—and the one who helps ensure their visit starts and ends on a high note. You’ll guide the flow of the dining room, manage seating with ease, and deliver smooth, accurate cash‑handling that reflects the service standards of Tropicana Laughlin.

Responsibilities

Guest‑Facing Duties

• Welcome guests warmly and seat them using a rotation system to maximize service
• Answer phones with professional etiquette and assist with reservations
• Communicate clearly with guests, coworkers, and supervisors
• Clear and reset tables quickly during peak hours—aiming for under two minutes
  
  

Cash Handling & POS

• Accurately process payments and return correct change or receipts
• Maintain your assigned cash bank and complete end‑of‑shift reports
• Learn and operate the POS system used by the outlet
  
  

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of cash‑handling experience preferred
• Valid SNHD Health Card
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Comfort with basic math and using a cash register
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  
  

Physical Demands

• Lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs
• Stand and walk for the entire shift, including stairs
• Work in hot, cold, smoky, or dusty environments
