Role Description The Ice Cream Scooper is a part-time, on-site role based at The Cone Zone, LLC in West Des Moines, IA. This team member prepares and serves ice cream, specialty treats, and espresso drinks while following food safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include greeting customers, answering questions about menu items, taking orders, and accurately handling cash and other payment methods. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies, and supporting coworkers during busy periods. The Ice Cream Scooper helps create a welcoming environment by providing courteous, efficient, and consistent service to every guest.

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage positively with guests and coworkers.
• Food Preparation skills with attention to hygiene, safety, and presentation standards.
• Reliable Cash Handling skills, including operating a point-of-sale system and managing transactions accurately.
• Clear Communication skills for interacting with customers, taking orders, and coordinating with the team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform basic physical tasks such as scooping, lifting, and cleaning.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and peak seasons as needed.
• Previous experience in food service or retail is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
